It is my prayer that I exchange my complaining for more thanks-giving. Because the truth is, I know I could be MORE thankful. I understand being caught up in the holiday spirit with the family, fellowship and good food because I get into it, as well. In fact, I love family time and the laughter we share with one another. But what happens when the family goes home, the activities are over and you can't make any more food trips? Will we only be stuffed because we only had emotional thanksgiving and not spiritual thanksgiving? My question is for us to search and find out if we are merely giving empty words...
Go with me for a minute.
I no longer want my heart full of emotion because emotions change repeatedly without any warning. Believe me, I know all about the emotional-roller-coaster-ride. It's time to flow in the fullness of heart thanksgiving. What do I mean? Well, just like we filled up our tummies with physical food, we need to fill up our spiritual tank with thanks giving unto God. Becoming FULL of His goodness.
I'm convinced if we do this we will starve our complaints and our language will change, becoming more pleasing to God. Being more thankful will squash negativity designed to rob from us due to our complaining. Thanksgiving unto God is two-fold. It gives to Him and then He blesses us because we operating in His will; one of a thankful heart. That's the Kingdom way.
I challenge you to join me. Even in the midst of bad, there's some good. Find things all throughout the day to get thankful for. It will bless your life because you'll be filled with thanks giving with no room to feed the complaints. Instead, you and I choose life filled words of thanks! Lord, I thank you. All day, everyday.
Be FULL of thanks!
God bless you :-)
